Display
6.7" Super Retina XDR OLED
Years
2022 – 2024
Port
Lightning
Back glass
Removable panel
A 6.7-inch screen with a notch and two diagonal cameras. Same size as a 14 Pro Max but with two cameras instead of three, and aluminium rather than stainless sides.
Display
Large 60Hz OLED. A more expensive panel than the 6.1-inch 14 simply on size, but far cheaper than the ProMotion panel in the 14 Pro Max.
Back glass
Shares the redesigned chassis with the standard 14, so back glass is a serviceable panel rather than a bonded pane — a real cost advantage over the 14 Pro Max of the same size.
Face ID
Face ID components are paired to the logic board and to the display. An aftermarket screen needs the pairing transferred by microsoldering to keep Face ID working — done properly it behaves normally, done cheaply it does not work at all.
Charging
Lightning, with the usual lint-first check.
Battery
The best battery life of the 14 line, ahead of the Pro Max, because the 60Hz panel draws less. These rarely arrive for battery work yet.
Cracked 6.7-inch screen
The most common repair on this model. Large panel, straightforward job.
Cracked back glass — inexpensive here
Same removable-panel design as the standard 14. Owners of the same-size 14 Pro Max pay considerably more for the identical-looking damage.
Camera glass cracking
The protruding diagonal array takes the impact face-down.
Diagnosis is free and the price is confirmed in writing before any work starts — we quote the machine in front of us, not a description over the phone.
Worth repairing without hesitation. It is a recent phone with excellent battery life, and the removable back panel makes the most visually alarming damage one of the cheaper fixes. If you were choosing between repairing this and buying a Pro Max, the repair almost always wins.
Face ID is not a parts swap
On every iPhone from the X onward, the Face ID components are paired to your logic board. Anyone offering to restore Face ID by fitting a new module is mistaken — it is board-level work transferring your original parts, or it does not work at all.
