The more precisely you can describe what happens, the faster the diagnosis. The details that help most are:

• When it started, and whether anything happened just before — a spill, a drop, a power cut, a macOS update or a new charger.
• What exactly the machine does when you press the power button: any sound, any fan movement, any light on the charger, any warmth.
• Whether it is consistent or intermittent. Faults that come and go are often the most revealing — and they are cheaper to fix before they become permanent.
• Whether it depends on conditions — only under load, only when charging, only at a certain lid angle, only when warm.
• What has already been tried, including any previous repair. Knowing a board has been worked on before genuinely changes the approach.

Liquid damage is the one situation where every hour counts. Hold the power button until the machine shuts off completely, unplug the charger, turn the MacBook upside down like an open tent so the liquid drains away from the board, and bring it to us the same day.
