Display
The largest ProMotion panel of its generation and the most expensive screen in the 13 line. Panel grade shows itself plainly at this size.

Large matte panel, laser separated, MagSafe array refitted. Finish matching is the usual aftermarket compromise.
Face ID
This is the generation where screen repair and Face ID became entangled. Apple relocated the Face ID components and paired them to the display, and for a time any third-party panel disabled Face ID completely. iOS 15.2 removed that hard block, but an aftermarket screen still needs the pairing chip transferred by microsoldering to behave normally. If your Face ID died after a screen replacement elsewhere, this is why — and it is recoverable.
Charging
Lightning. Exceptional battery life meant less frequent charging, so ports on these are often in better shape than smaller models of the same age.

The strongest battery of its generation by a clear margin — many owners kept these specifically for it. A large share are only now reaching a first replacement.

Face ID is not a parts swap
On every iPhone from the X onward, the Face ID components are paired to your logic board. Anyone offering to restore Face ID by fitting a new module is mistaken — it is board-level work transferring your original parts, or it does not work at all.
