Bonded
The smallest of the three: 5.8" screen, matte frosted glass back, three cameras in a square bump, polished stainless steel sides. If the back is glossy and there are two cameras, it is a standard iPhone 11.
Display
Super Retina XDR OLED. Replacement panels cost considerably more than the LCD in the standard iPhone 11, and quality between aftermarket OLED grades varies a lot — a cheap panel shows itself in colour shift and touch response, not on day one but a few months in.
Back glass
Matte bonded rear glass, separated with heat and laser. The frosted finish is harder to match with aftermarket parts than the glossy back on the standard 11, so a replacement can be visibly different in the light.
Face ID
Dot projector paired to the board, exactly as on the standard 11. Face ID cannot be restored by fitting a new module — it needs the original components transferred at board level.
Charging
Lightning, and the same lint-first diagnosis applies. On a phone this age, a worn port after years of cable insertion is genuinely common rather than an excuse.
Battery
The 11 Pro has the smallest battery in this generation, and its owners tend to notice degradation earlier than 11 or 11 Pro Max owners. Battery replacement is the most requested job on this model.
Battery degradation, felt early
A small cell in a phone that is now six years old. Screen-on time drops noticeably before Battery Health even reports a low figure.
OLED burn-in and colour shift
Faint permanent ghosting of the keyboard or status bar on heavily used units. It is not repairable — only a panel replacement resolves it.
Face ID failure after a previous repair
The most common cause we see is flex damage from an earlier screen job done without care. Board-level transfer is the route back.
Rear camera or ultra-wide failure
Black frames from one lens while the others work, or focus hunting in the main camera.
Diagnosis is free and the price is confirmed in writing before any work starts — we quote the machine in front of us, not a description over the phone.
A battery is almost always worth it — it is inexpensive and transforms a phone this size. The judgement call is the OLED screen: on a 2019 handset a good-quality panel is a real spend, and it is worth weighing against the phone's current value before committing. We will give you that comparison honestly rather than just quoting the repair.
Face ID is not a parts swap
On every iPhone from the X onward, the Face ID components are paired to your logic board. Anyone offering to restore Face ID by fitting a new module is mistaken — it is board-level work transferring your original parts, or it does not work at all.
